Privacy Policy

When you register, CC Live collects your first name, last name, email address, and selected coverage area. CC Live does not collect or store an account password.

CC Live sends a six-digit code to confirm registration and to sign in. Codes expire after 10 minutes and are stored only as protected verification values. A successful sign-in creates a session token so the app can keep you signed in.

You may enter a city, state, or ZIP code to receive local news, weather, surf, and fishing information. CC Live sends that general area to its service to return relevant coverage. The iOS app does not request access to your device's precise location.

If you contact support, we receive the email address and information you include in your message.

When you open a story, CC Live sends the story's desk, title, and source URL to maintain an aggregate view count. Story-view requests do not include your account session, advertising identifier, or personal profile.

Your account session is stored in the iOS Keychain. Your selected coverage area and read or unread story state are saved on your device so the app remembers your preferences.

Signing out removes the account session from the device. Removing the app removes its local preferences.

CC Live does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell personal information.

Our hosting providers may process routine technical records such as an IP address, request time, and basic device or browser information to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service. Operational logs are retained for no longer than 30 days unless a longer period is required to investigate abuse, protect the service, or comply with law. Aggregate story view counts do not identify individual readers.

CC Live attributes original publishers and may open their pages in Safari. Those publishers and websites operate under their own privacy policies, which CC Live does not control.

CC Live is a general-audience news service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, email real@chriscruz.live from the address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify that address before completing the request. Aggregate story view counts cannot be tied back to an individual reader.
